  • How businesses can use Airtasker
  • Finding reliable workers in a flash
  • There’s an Airtasker blog?

In a post from last year, I discussed how Australian site Airtasker could be used to assist an individual with activities if they were either busy, or needed some quick cash. However, businesses can also use Airtasker to assist with organisational duties. Similar to how Seek and Mycareer can be used to find a particular employee for a short duration (say, a project requires a particular skill that is currently unavailable in the workplace), the job can then be outsourced to another.

After creating a profile on the site, an orgnaisation can immediately begin posting jobs that need completing. Say, you run a nursery, and need a marketing strategist? Or, what if you’re a chef, in need of an IT specialist to set up a website? There are plenty of workplaces dedicated to pursuing a particular endeavor, and in that sense, do not have the capacity to cater for every eventuality. Rather than hiring a person full time for a role that may never be required again in the long term, you can, that word again, outsource the task.

Where professional job recruitment sites would require curriculum vitaes and cover letters, which leads to a less than novel experience (see what I did there? Novel? Because there’s so much material to rea-, yeah just ruined the joke), Airtasker offers a similar, yet at the same time, faster approach. After posting the job, available individuals will notify the company of their willingness to participate, their profiles easily accessible. In a short period of time, rather than rifling through reams of documents, an organisation can read comments made by those who have previously hired the potential employee, to garner their overall effectiveness. Through Airtasker, both parties can arrange how and when the task will be completed, alongside the expenditure involved, rather than having to use several modes of correspondence.

Additionally, those who visit Airtasker can check in on the site’s blog, which keeps users up to date with new features to the site, top news stories that happen with the organisation, hints and tips on how to complete chores around the home and business, and invites users to become involved in competitions. Beneficial, easy to use and fun?! Airtasker will leave you feeling like a winner!
